@Ulysses61 Seriously!? How do you know? It seems like not much is known about her personal life and people say she is VERY private, doesn't give interviews, never wrote a book etc. It would be SOOO romantic if it is true. From the heat they generated toward each other dancing to "The Nearness of You" it would be hard to believe if there WASN'T something between them. He was just so into her, and she into him. I think that is the most romantic sequence in any movie I've ever seen!

This is my new favorite movie! I didn't think that was possible at my age. Love James Mason at this age as the romantic lead. Love, love, love Vera Miles. She was so lovely and ladylike, but also with so much warmth, humor, depth, and sparkle that I never saw in Kim Novak. It is hard not to wonder what might have been if she would have starred in Vertigo, as was Hitchcock's intent. No complaints about her career, I just wish she could have made about 100 more just like this! Thank you.

Mason is 50 in this flick. Miles is a mere 30. A perfect age for the two sexes to meet mind to mind.

Vera Miles is very good looking too , Please excuse , but not blowing my own
trumpet . but I shall have to pause film press Print Screen and start sketching her face.
(been drawing faces 4 years) bit where they first meet (car).
