This week I caught up with 6 time major winner Nick Faldo at the Faldo Golf Institute By Marriott in Orlando, Florida. Undoubtively Marriott's Grande Vista Resort is one of Marriott Vacation Club's most luxurious resorts, offering one, two and three bed villas.
Whilst on the range Nick tried out different shafts on a couple of new sets of TaylorMade Tour Preferred and Burner clubs. It was amazing to see TaylorMade's Flight Control Technology (FCT) that allows the player to easily adjust a metalwood's loft, lie and face angle.
Furthermore we chatted about his new course in The Dominican Republic at the Roco Ki Resort.
Later on this month Nick travels to the course he designed at Mission Hills Golf Club in China for the Asian Grand Final of the Faldo Series.
Nick spoke about working for CBS Sports and The Golf Channel. It was fun to hear the 3 time winner speak about the buzz he gets from working at The Masters, the premier event in CBS Sports' calendar.
Nick also confirmed that this Summer he will play at the Open Championship at Turnberry.
It was a real pleasure to spend time with Nick and now I'm not the only one saying "it's nice to be nice!"
Wish we saw him playing more. surely he can do better than Woosnam, Lyle etc. The Isle of Arran is the best golf resort.
