Rich Pearsall argues the case for canoeists to make more use of Britain's extensive coastline in this first edition of 'Around the Edge'. With rivers access being difficult in some areas, coastal waters offer a vast & varied resource & great alternative to inland waterways. In this first episode, Rich lays out the case for coastal paddling (as opposed to full blown sea kayaking), we look at the progression from estuaries to the coast itself & discover what sort of boat will be needed.
