Dave,
Don't feel too bad, it happens. At least it wasn't a Merc 16D or something. Nice job on the silver! Ground is rock hard here, we are done for a wile I am afraid. Looking forward to seeing the videos you haven't posted yet.

Thanks Dan & Yulelah....I hope to get one or two more hunts in before the end of the year..The only places that won't be frozen is in the woods under the leaves for just a little while...Wish I lived in East TN...L.O.L.
Killer on finding all the silver there! Not sure if it was in the video, with all that silver found...was wondering what kinda area you are hunting, what was standing there years ago? Homesite, Park? Etc. Really good hunting grounds there!
Those scratches do happen, and to all of us from time to time, but still an awesome find you made! Big Congrat's to all of you! Hope you all can make more vids during this winter time! Great watching them! Merry Christmas to you all!

In the woods but Not a park..There are guys around here that are posting Large cents and seated dimes, quarters and such..That have been hunting ole groves ..They are very secretive about there sites...& some of them watch my and TreasueFiends videos....So I won't advertize where...But I PMd you...with more info.Thank you for the Congrats...I usually get nothing from woods hunting...But I am learning, and we are researching ole Grove sites from the Past.We are certain we will find a good one soon

Nice going Dave. Don't feel too bad about the SLQ. It happens, I'm surprised it doesn't happen more. Taking the break paid off. Nice video. Thanks!

Thanks dude....But I am suprized at myself...Thats the second quarter I scratched in a row...The day before,I was filming as I dug a coin spill (Not posted yet)..and you will be able to see, when I dug it....On film, I turned the soil, and there was a the tip of my shovel was pushing against a washington Quarter.....
You don't hear many targets hunting the woods..So its easy to get excited and make a mistake in recovery....

Nice video! For us uninitiated, what's an SLQ (Silver Liberty Quater?)? And where do you have you camera mounted?
Nice work! You guys have got me hooked! :)

Yes a Standing Liberty Quarter....
I first videoed the snow at a local park, and holding a newspaper out in it...Then I went home...Cued the first scene in the video...Mounted the camera on a tri-pod in front of the computer..Put gloves on and held the paper in front of the cued scene on my monitor ...,and rolled the camera...
