  • Oh god, I waxed myself and I've been on Retin-A for a few months. I didn't see any affects, but what could happen?

  • @desiraemonique It basically thinks the skin so it's much easier to rip skin off when waxing.

  • This is really helpful! But i was wondering if there's any age restrictions on getting a brazillian? In canada

  • @slytherin0queen I would call ahead and check with the salon.

  • Ps for double dipping (i know its not sanitary) but is there really THAT much harm done? I know the wax has to be at a certain temperature to melt, but is that not hot enough to kill bacteria?

Curiosity, not meaning to sound like a grimy / grungy person :p

  • @TheLilMissBunny Do you want wax off of someone cootch applied on your cootch?

  • Did you do a video on your waxing-kit yet? :)

  • Pills for acne or topical creams for it cause the skin on your face to be more sensitive and thinner, so the wax is more likely to damage the skin. I learned the hard way :(

  • Thank you for this.

  • I don't think threading eyebrows causes wrinkles... although to make sure, does it happen?

    Thank you in advanced!

  • @geminiwitch1978 thank you :)

  • @TheLilMissBunny People tend to bleed when they get waxed even if it's just a small amount. That would cause and illness or disease to be transferred to whomever was waxed after that. As for it killing bacteria, no it doesn't and you would be amazed and sickened if you knew what could be in the double-dipped wax.

  • @srbXOXOgirl93 The area of acne is not the issue. The medication is in the bloodstream therefore in all areas of the body. Acne meds have a tendency to dry out the skin leading to fragile skin. The skin then may tear or in some cases actually rip off with the wax causing bleeding which would stop the service as well as could lead to an infection. Any good provider would tell you this information and refuse service until you are off the med for at least 6 mos. I'm a licensed Esthetician :)

  • my lady puts the wax in a cup and double dips. Basicaly she gets the wax from the bigger container and puts it in a little clean cup just for me. I think it is fine that she double dips since she disposes of any of the personal wax she used on me.

  • @Jordan0Alexis Ah thank you! :D

  • Do you have to be a certain age to get waxed? I would imagine you have to be 18 to get a Brazilian wax.
