Book Group - Rab - Part 1

NOTE: For those wishing to skip straight to when the gay storyline really kicks off, I would suggest skipping to Part 2.

These videos are from the 2002 UK series The Book Group, starring Anne Dudek (Amber from House)as Clare, an American who has moved to Scotland, and tries to meet people by forming a small book club.

One of the book club members, and thus main characters, is Rab, a football-obsessed gay man. This is his storyline.

Part 1 contains all important scenes from Episode 101 and 102.

As each episode devotes a large chunk of time to the latest book group meeting, it is hard to include Rab's every scene, or else it would be nearly the entire episode. I had to chop through a good portion of the meetings, while still trying to maintain all o Rab's dialogue and storyline. Thus, if it seems like the meetings are a bit jumpy and nonsensical, it is likely because bits have been cut out.

I also tried to leave a good bit of Janice's story in there, since she is so closely connected.

Feel free to ask any questions if you don't understand the storyline. Or better yet - the entire series is available to watch free online at Hulu.com. It's a funny series, lasting only 12 episodes in total, and I encourage you to check it out! Especially because I worry that the charm of the other characters - particularly Clare - may have gotten lost in the edit.
