  • Even as a bass-baritone, I am continuously inspired by Renee Fleming's voice and emotional interpretation. I think it absolutely stunning that she adds her own flavor to this piece. The purpose of performance is to make a piece your own, not to mimic other popular performers in the process, and I think that Ms. Fleming is one of the most original and inventive artists in the world today. I truly love her, and next time she comes to Rochester, NY, I'm going to meet her! =)

  • @WaitonAlsoSings, I simply have to agree with you, both in voice type and thoughts about her and her way of doing music. I envy you 'cause you're gonna have the great pleasure to see her singing. Ow my goodness, I'd like so much to hear her in person! So congrat. for you, and enjoy it a lot! and thank u for the comment! :)

  • That's what you think, but there are lots of people who like it a lot. So, you don't need to put that comment. If you don't like, don't watch, otr if you don't like, at least say why you don't like it. Give reasons, not just a silly sentence like that! And enjoy the ones you like! By the way, please, can you cite me some good interpreters for this song, in your opinion? I wanna listen to them and try to 'educate' my taste. Bye!

  • The little nuances she puts in between some of the words... it's absolutely breathtaking. For example, right after "je" in "je revais le bonheur." And the lilt she does in the middle of "des songes." And my personal favorite, connecting "radieuse" to "Reviens" and squeezing every little bit out of that "Reviens."

Thank you for posting this stunning rendition. And Renee, thank you for your artistry!

  • I think Faurè would approve! : )

  • I love this version and the Veronique Gens version of this song! They're both so unique and beautiful in their own ways.

  • @gidslivingstone This treatment by this so called singer would definitely get Faure rot in his grave.

  • @WaitonAlsoSings No wonder you aren't a world renowned classical singer 'cause your grasp of aesthetics is so undeveloped.

  • @dapheneo

  • very beautiful singing indeed. very emotional! but I am afraid her expression is a little too much for me.

  • Excelente versión de esta canción de GABRIEL FAURÉ (1845-1924)

  • I miss Faure
