Cantering on Thoroughbred gelding for the first time

This is me riding at Ride Every Stride!
it is my assesement lesson so it is my first time riding him...sorry i don't look so good :P
his Canter is THE SMOOTHEST canter ever :)
he is a great horse i have ridden him 4 times now and i am P/B'ing him now :)
he is a great horse
his name is Riot he is a 16hh thouroughbred gelding he is 9 years old :)

why are you sooo stiff ? same as theresa...

youre hands are too low, youre not even in full seat or half seat, which means youre bouncing on his back. and clearly it looks like you dont know what youre supposed to be doing w. your hands/body/leg...

and why dont you do jumpers w. him ? you dont look like hunters, especially not in your jumping...try it, youll probs do better. idk why you really want to do hunter, cause i am ? probs.

and idk i just like hunter better there is hunter in challenge and no jumper in challenge he has shown hunter b4 and placed really high i am working REALLY hard to be hunter :)

i will maybe do a jumper show see how i do :)

@SandyLovesPaddy try jumper if ur horse can do the speed and the jumps and ur try to soppourt him you'll do great and jumper way better then hunter cause you can have fun and do what u like unlike hunter u have to worry about every part of ur body and theres not judge that wont pick u cause they dont like you or casue they no the other riders u get, timed its wayyyyyyy better even though hunter is fun jumper is amazing

My fave horse i ride is a TB also. His canter is very fast, and his jump is not very smooth. Oh well

@SandyLovesPaddy you look just fine doing hunters! but, if you were to try jumpers, there is something like a hunter challenge, but instead its called a jumper derby just incase you wanted to try something different :)

Lovely horse :) I think u ride really nice & quiet..maybe just try & sit up abit rather than leaning a touch forwards!! I cant talk though cos i ride quite forwards too, were all different x

really. you would know, right ? jumper is the most know riding sport ever. does it LOOK like hunter goess all the way to the OLYMPICS ? NO. its alllll jumper !

yea he HAS shown hunter, with a really good rider i bet.
