Crossbow Hunt Public Land NJ 2009- First Self Filmed

This is my first time taking the camera and attempting to film myself. Hoping to only get better at it. I used a Barnett Penetrator crossbow, 20" carbon bolts with Lumenock and 1 1/2" expandable broadhead. Gorilla camera arm and JVC GZ-HD30 camera with raynox wide angle lens and Azden directional microphone. There will be more to come......

I use Carbon Express Torrid SS. Have used them for years even back when they were called Eastman Outfitters. 1 3/4 " expandable. Nice Big Hole. Very tough head and you cannot beat the price of 12 dollars for a 3 pack at walmart. And the funny part about this deer is I thought I had hit her high but it turned out that I hit her right behind the shoulder right where I was aiming and I guess when it broke that rib it also broke the vertebrae from the power of that crossbow.

@HDMann292 I absolutely LOVE it!!! However, this year one of my best friends wanted to get back into Bowhunting after not going for about 15 years and only had his old bow that was over 20 years old. So, I let him use my crossbow for this year and I used my compound. I told him after this year he has to buy his own. He has taken about 6 deer with it including his biggest buck ever!!

@yankees3444 Yes you can. I think you can actually take the written portion online now. Then you would attend an archery hunter education class and get your certificate to purchase a license.Do you live in NJ? If so just get your archery license and you can use a crossbow to hunt deer with during the archery seasons.

i have a tenpoint gt flex 2010 model and it has 3 different weight settings 90,for youth,125for turkey or bow fishing,and180 for deer hunting and how much was the camrea arm and is it easy to keep the camrea on the deer while tryin to shoot nice hunt

Very Nice!! Great Job At Being patence. I Hunt on publicland In N.C Though out the state. Ive been there when the deer come and and youve got your shot planned out, but then something goes wrong. But You held your ground and made a great follow up move. Good Work!! I Know how hard deer can be to take on public gameland, but i some how pull off getting 4 to 5 deer a season. bow muzzleloader and gun. Just bought a cross last month. i like my comound but wanted to try a crossbow. ready for sep10th
