Anxiety is not "thinking about what you don't want to happen". Look up anxiety disorder. People who listen to this prolong getting real help.

Thank you very much for this, it helps a lot. It's all mind over matter. Think positive thoughts. Make your mind believe nothing is wrong at all. When your mind thinks you're scared, it makes your body react as if you're scared. Tell yourself nothing is wrong and your body will act as if nothing is wrong.

Alright then, so how do I deal with the actual problem? Imagining a lemon won't do it. How's about this instead:
Imagine yourself going into a situation where you need to feel a lot more confident in yourself. See yourself doing what it is needed perfectly, up to the point which is the cause of you anxiety. When you get to this point, freeze the video and take a snapshot in your mind of the scene. Now imagine shrinking this image down into a little picture you can fit in your hand.
