Putting an ornamental 'pyramid' point on the end of an 'upset'* piece of 16mm square stock.
*upset means the end has been heated and then driven into the face of the anvil, thickening it.

  • If by flat you mean the faces of the pyramid then bear in mind this took three full heats for me to do then. Now I'd be a fair bit faster :)

    If you mean hammering the square bar itself flat then that would probably take less time than this. Brute force would be easier to apply. For the point you need to know exactly where and how hard you need to hit
