The Williamsburg neighborhood in Brooklyn was once a thriving hub of craft beer in the Northeast. When the last two breweries closed there in 1976, one man decided to revitalize the craft scene, while helping breathe new life into this storied neighborhood. Steve Hindy, co-founder and president of Brooklyn Brewery, released the first batch of lager in 1988 and since then, the company has grown to serve 25 states and 20 countries.
