UC Berkeley Rally in Sacramento

Clips from speeches at a rally on the steps of the California State Capitol, November 16, 2011. UC Berkeley and UC Davis students were in Sacramento to lobby the state legislature to stop funding cuts to public education and to institute structural changes necessary to increase state funds. Speakers in the video include Alfredo Mireles, a UC Berkeley graduate, UCSF graduate student, and UC student regent; Safeena Mecklai, Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC) Senator; Joey Freeman, Vice President of ASUC External Affairs; George Breslauer, UC Berkeley Vice Chancellor and Provost; and Nancy Skinner, CA State Assemblymember, who met with students earlier in the day.
