A woodworker scratch builds a main-floor laundry room for his wife. Watch the construction extend five feet into the double car garage (and my wood shop). This project brought the laundry room from the basement to the main floor. As designed, the washer/dryer cannot be seen from the kitchen. The Samsung stackables are quiet enough for main-floor use. New laminate flooring was installed from the laundry room to the dining room visually tying the rooms together. The wainscot in the laundry room and existing entry also helped tie the rooms together eliminating the add-on look. Wife happy.

  • How much did it cost?

  • @MegaAce54 An estimate: Shell 1,000 – Floor 1,000 (includes kitchen and dining rooms) – Appliances and TV 2,000 – Miscellaneous items 500 – Total USD around $4,500. Use of my own labor, priceless! Thanks for asking and watching my DIY project.
