@robjmoore63 are you kidding me? mario had jagr, ron francis, paul coffey, larry murphy, kevin stevens, mark recchi, rick tocchet, joe mullen, marty straka, alexi kovalev, heck he even played with sydney crosby for a few games. to say mario didnt have all the talent to play with is the biggest BS spread in hockey history. the guy played with just as many hall of famers as gretzky. its also funny you bring up hull and pronger, gretzky played like 25 games with those guys.
@mjb9982 keep in mind, If he didn't have to leave the ice to battle cancer, Lemieux would've passed his records. Lemieux didn't have all the talent surrounding him that Wayne did. He had Jagr, that was it. Gretzky played with Mark Messier, Jari Kurri, Rob Blake, Paul Coffey, Luc Robitaille, Brett Hull, and Chris Pronger just to name a few.
@AxonMoses Mario Lemieux had Hodgkin's Disease. If Lemieux were to be in perfect health throughout his life, God only knows how many more Stanley Cups he would have won with the Penguins.
Screw stats, Lemieux was the best ever. stats are great but so what?? Gretzky dominated in the 80's when the goalies were garbage. Lemeiux in 92-93 would have broken Gretzky's record of 215.
LOL that"s funny. Gretzky not #1

Okay so let me get this straight, gretzky has got the most points ever in a season, most goals and most assist... but he's not #1?
