I watched the 20/20 special on Lawrence and it just broke my heart. He had such a hard life...he had trouble at home and then was bullied everyday at school. The school system needs to try much harder to prevent and stop bullying. This is sick. His memorial site > RememberLarry (dot com) has photos of him when he was little...he just looks so small & harmless.

@khanmankhan10 It was a failed attempt by the prosecution to show him as one. He was never said to be a skinhead. It was a huge reach that the jury universally rejected, right along with the hate crime. No, he had literature that was related to Hitler. Literature that belonged to his brother. The drawings were not related to any personal belief but those of a school project. One his teacher confirmed.He was granted a mistrail. I do not see him being sent to jail the 2nd time around.

He was a skinhead. He held interest in the old Nazi Party, his family had skinheads, he owned Nazi literature, and he owned an iron cross. The kid also had drawing full of swastikas. The kid was a skinhead. The jury didn't disagree with him being a skinhead. It's clear that he was. What they disagreed with was if a kid should get that hard of a sentence, which is crazy considering that Brandon planned out the murder.

@khanmankhan10 A skinhead he was not. Brandon did not have any connection to a skinhead group and Fox tried to make it out that way, so she can say he had a homophobic reason to kill Larry. Thus making this a hate crime. A charge the Jury disagreed with since Brandon was not found to be a racist, skinhead or even homophobic.

@khanmankhan10 No different than kids who plan to shoot up their school or kids who plan their own suicides because of bullying and them being fed up and overwhelmed. Where are the comments condemning them? My father always said, " When you tell the kids to stop pulling the growling dogs tail, you don't blame the dog when he finally bites the kid." Just to let you know, Brandon never lied to the police. He willing went with them.

Brandon was a skinhead. He told a friend of Larry that she should say goodbye to Larry because it would be the last time she'd see him. He took a gun, snuck it into school, sat directly behind Larry, shot him twice, left the scene, and then lied to police. It clearly was premeditated.
