  • Very nice restoration work. You might try a small farm tractor muffler in place of the "Pancake" muffler. I think you'll like the sound better. The Pancake mufflers give a splattering sound. A good tractor muffler should roar nice. Be sure it has the proper inlet size. Good luck.

  • First thanks all folks for your kind words and comments. The restoration process of this golden include all original parts. The muffler are original. Sure it's noisy, but the specs must be respected. Also this muffler was so hard to find, but it's original. However, thanks for the suggestions and keep enjoy the video and tell your friends how good works

  • A Hobart you say, that looks like a nice little unit. I have a big Hobart with an inline 6 ford engine on a trailer, and it needs the exciter, re-excited though. Good video.

  • How many amps does the welder put out and what kind of welding stick did you use? That is one nice system.

  • they really are great engines, i had not realised that til after i got my old davis trencher, which has a 18 hp wisconsin, great looking restore! great vid, its nice to see these old engines still working, i wished they made things today as they did because there really are some things built to last back in the earlier days.

  • Great restoration! Thanks for the video. I would say museum quality.

    Regards
