Tried re sampling the slow mo and like the results...not happy with the lighting and/or the color though...on the bright side I figured out how to get the movement looking smooth, Slow mo wise, in Vegas.

On another note, our new Lens is a 50mm 1.8f Canon...and it rocks! Really gets some nice DOF and really does well in low light (although none of this is in low light). For $100 this lens was totally worth it and will probably replace the 55-250 as the most used lens with the T2i. Seriously, all I have to do the shots at 02:11 is a Canon T2i ($800) and a 50mm lens ($100).

If I could go back 3 years and show myself those shots and say "you can get that for $900 in three years"...I wouldn't believe it.

If you are even thinking about getting this camera...do it. It is such a good camera. We are putting in an order for our second one in a few days :)

  • @Steve181 Wouldn't you rather have a nice Shotgun mic? Magic Bullet Suite? Slider? Lights? Lenses? Filters? There are so many things you need as a filmmaker so why spend the extra $700 or whatever it is for a camera with the exact same features. If so, that's your choice. Seems like a no brainer to me.

  • Hey thanks for the McCormick Brothers - great editing (erasing of non-essential elements) - I wish I had peeps that would seriously get on board with me, because that's what YOU HAVE, and I'm seriously jealous - and you three have been producing this stuff for years! Love the "Excessive Ruse" test with the glide - a beautiful piece even though you three (way to go Marika - she totally doesn't get enough credit) - were still working it all out. You guys inspire us all!

  • @FollowingAutumn Well thank you!! It's true about Marika...she's the glue that holds it all together :)

  • crazy, when you were walking out of your apartment 00:59 , I was like "that looks really familiar" then I saw the licence plates and was like "oh thats why". You go to U of O don't you?

  • @uglylitterpunk Sorry, Beaver fan :)

  • Great work, Can you please tell me where you got the lens? Maybe A link? I'm dying to get my hands on the right one. Thanks!

  • Dude the sharpness on this is absolutely amazing? DId you do a lot of post work or was that as is? The only thing is the constant need for focus- which you seemed to do a great job at, considering the 50mm is very typical of this. So have you tried the 1.4?? I would love to see you do a comparison and see how it holds up!!!! :)

  • @GrayWolfPictures Look up some Neutral Density filters, you can stop down some of the light that is coming in while keeping a low shutter speed to get that cinematic look.

  • If Canon hasn't hired you yet, they REALLY need to reevaluate their human resources rep lol #teamholdinoutforthecanont4i -B

  • @BeautifulDollProd I think he uses the 2x4 megabit trifecta pixals. If you can get the right dimensions on your camera it'll look really good

  • what do you use for you color correction?

  • I like 3:00 very much

  • Jesus what was your shutter speed set at everything looks so choppy

  • how do you get nice DOF at 1.8? outside i have ISO at 100 and its way too bright so i have to ajust the shutter speed to about 500-1000 and it looks too jittery with that high of a shutter speed...any tips?
