@8dorit I do hope, with all my heart, that the brilliant state of Israel prevails, the sooner the better, over those heartless, profoundly inhuman terrorists who simply use baseless claims, one after another, to kill innocents. I simply wanted to send you warm greetings from Spain. Please, do not think that every Spaniard is as stupid towards Israel as our current president (that dumbass of Zapatero). Many Spaniards really love Israel and feel very sad for those and other attacks. Shalom.
this song is a result of one of the most sad period of the Young State of Israel. It was written after the massacre of Ma'ale Akrabimin 1954. a civilian bus coming from Eilat to Be'er Sheva was attacked by fedayeen- the Arab terrorists at those times .. at that time they objected the very existence of the state of Israel.. they didn't object any occupation.. since the "occupation" of Judea and Samaria happened only in 1967.
the terrorists on the bus killed children, women, old people and civilians on that bus. Others got severely wounded.it was just before the happy Purim holiday.. and everyone in Israel where sad, moaning and in shock..
the prime minister - Sharet.. was concerned because of the low moral and asked Ya'akov Orland and Mordechay Ze'ira to compose a happy song.. in order to uplift the moral.. and this is what came out.. Shir Sameach – a happy song!
Great. This song was used in the recent Rehovot Israel 60 festival and there is a really nice dance video here performed by a group of young teen boys and girls. The timing was excellent. The picture to click on has girls in yellow dresses.
@celtance thanks this is really heart warming
i know many people like you silently support Israel and see clearly the picture without the destruction of biased media..
