It's been 31 years that dance has been banned in Iran. In these 31 years, the government
of Iran has tried to eliminate the presence of women in society. The rights of women have
thus been ignored. Therefore, Khorshid Khanoom Dance Group invitees all the women and
men to come and dance in front of the Iranian Embassy in the capital of Canada, Ottawa.
Date: Monday, March 8th, 2010 (Womens Day)
Time: 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm
Location: the Iranian Embassy in the capital of Canada, Ottawa

Iran won't ever, ever, ever gain half the world's support until it learns to use half its resources properly. Culture should not be suppressed, neither should women.

Trying to annihilate the presence of half the human race is got to be a hard job. Thanks to the brave women, it just got a little harder. There is nothing quite like the high of thumbing your nose at a repressive authority & having them powerless to stop you.
