  • One of the best vocal disguises I remember among mystery guest. They do sound rather alike.

Eammon Andrew's cowboy reference -- the contestant before them was an ancient cowpuncher from, I think, Flagstaff Arizona. Very amusing.

  • Mike Nichols and Elaine May. A top-rank comedy team that I think has never been surpassed. Search for samples of their work elsewhere on YouTube. You'll be richly rewarded.

  • Nichols has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award. And he is related to Albert Einstein who was a cousin on his mother’s side!

  • Mr. Nichols is presently married to Diane Sawyer.

  • @1122DLAN

Well Mike Nichols has directed "The Graduate", "Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?", "Working Girl", "Primary Colors", and "Closer". Elaine May directed the original "Heartbreak Kid" and "Mickey and Maude".

  • I too was born 1960 and never heard of them before.

  • Well,as I was born in 1960 I've never heard of this couple but they do seem rather funny. I vaguely remember "What's My Line",(British version),from my childhood & remember my parents laughing hysterically over it! How "comedy" has changed so much since those earlier, gentler days.

  • @jerryg1964, most likely it was 1960.

  • What year was this?

  • What a highly creative team! I loved Elaine May in a "A New Leaf" (which can be viewed on YouTube in 11 parts).
