Athens was the birthplace of democracy. It was the cradle of western philosophy and civilization. Athens was one of the major ancient Greek states and it was the birthplace of men like Pericles, Solon, Socrates, Plato, Themistocles e.t.c., its naval power made her the master of the mediterranean. Athenians belonged to the ancient Greek tribe of Ionians.

Γιά να πεί ένας λαός ότι μπορεί να κυβερνήση μόνος του τον εαυτό του, προϋποθέτει υπευθυνότητα και ικανότητα κριτικής σκέψεως.

Στις ημέρες μας οι εντολείς της νέας τάξης έχουν καταφέρει ( σχεδόν ) να εξαλείψουν το "είδος" σκεπτόμενος/υπεύθυνος πολίτης. Από την άλλη έχουν καταφέρει να πείσουν τον λαό ότι είναι ο "κυρίαρχος".

Τα αποτελέσματα αυτής της καρικατούρας που τολμούν να αποκαλούν "δημοκρατία" τα βλέπουμε γύρω μας.

The Trojans were Turks? Hahahahaha nice joke, it's like saying that modern citizens of USA are Indians! Turks did not exist at that time, Turks came in Asia minor's coast after 1000 A.D. Asia Minor coastline in antiquity was Greek and was called Ionia. Efessus, Pergamum, Halicarnassus...all these and many others were ancient Greek cities! Only a stupid could even think about saying that Trojans were Turks, it's INSANE! I guess some people have inferiority syndroms :)

So the turks cant say now that todays Turkey was greek since the ancient times..

It was greek as much as athens(right? :P )

I have talked to many turks about that who told me that the trojans were turks...

Of course they were Greeks, i cannot understand why some people think that they were not, in the iliad it does not say that they were foreigners. Modern people have mistranslated the iliad, iliad does not say Greeks vs Trojans, it says Danaans vs Trojans, cause Trojans were Greeks like the Danaans too.
