You folks got it easy, as you only need to keep an eye on the boulders. On a steep (for florida anyway) narrow creek I have to deal with busting through canopy, logjams, strainers, hanging grapevines, poison ive & oak, pissed-off moccosins, and big & bad-ass bull gators. I manage all this in my 16' 9" barge of a tandem canoe w/ no floatation. A few days of heavy rains & it becomes a class 2 at 4ft., flood stage at 8 ft. & more.
