@yahmana DWC means deep water culture. If you go DWC bubble buckets you don't need a water pump..But you DO need an air pump, and those must be left on 24/7. If you just want to run a water pump, then you want an Ebb and Flow system. Basically a pump is on a timer, your plants are in a tray, pump turns on, fills the tray up then turns off. Water is then drained back to the reservoir

Could you list the supplies you used?

Most parts can be found in the plumbing section of a hardware store and the pumps can be found at pet stores.

can you grow plants without pumping air? how long do you need to keep the air pump turned on?

@yahmana
You can use just a water pump in a separate reservoir that pumps the water to a separate container and drains the water back to the reservoir. The idea hear would be that the roots would be suspended in a lot of air getting which will allow them to get enough oxygen without an air pump.

i really like your video but please tell me why you make 2 holes at the rear of the box and put tap in one hole only?The air escape from the upper hole.

@SuperStasam
The rear holes are to feed air hose lines through so that they can hook up to the air stones. The tap is only for draining water so that the roots don't get disturbed, the hole for the tap acts just as a holder. You could also drill two small holes and use wire to suspend the drain hose/tap.
