Many Palestinian refugees in the occupied territories now live quite close to their still standing villages. These aging men and women's waking moments are filled with memories of life before they were expelled form their homes. Al Jazeera's correspondent in Palestine, Mike Hanna, explains those few miles may never be permanently bridged by a generation that's slowly fading away.

  • It is a real shame!!! who are the europeans to decide the fates of these poor Palestinians. It is really really sad.

  • The UN has said quite a bit... it's Israel and the US who do not listen.

  • "Forth generation refugees?!" This sounds like permanent self-inflicted victimization. The world is a big place, move on! Don't let the past imprison you. It's not fair to your descendants.

  • israel is a parsasite. and the whities work with those dirty jew bastards to take everythign thats not thiers

  • I rated this video as poor

4 1/2 minutes of "How bad I feel" PERIOD!

What is the real story? What are the facts?

What are common misconceptions, What happened?

I watched this with the intention of learning what happened in 1948 and learned nothing,

"UNDERSTAND" no one will know your story, unless you can tell it! Try a few facts or even make some up (kidding)

But crying in a handkerchief for the world to see isn't productive or informative and really won't help your cause.

  • jews are a strange people

  • Because it's very hard to report on Chechnya and they have done stories on Serdot.

  • talk big now jew history's not on your side

  • and the religious ppl of israel are making things worse

and the irony that they are accusing palastinians of being violant and barbarian if they stone the israelies!

but the killing of families on the breakfast tabels(by mistake) is not even a mistake...cos it was'nt on purpose..

    israelies having moral problms.

they r blind, can't see killing is wrong if the victim is not israely

greedy ppl without morals what do u expect?

so what do you expect palastinian to do?

    you tell me

  • and yes i do agree with u that corrupted regimes in arabic land (r) the reason of suffring of many arab countries..

but nontheless, israel is still aproblem at least for palastinian

it is a regime that have nuclear weapon with the US veto in its bocket

how can arabs feel safe with a hateful racist goverment like that?

foget about palastinian what about lebanon?syria?egypt and even jordan?many lands of these were invaded by greedy israilies in the mid of the 20th century

  • I might be a saudi but that has nothing to do with my goverment policy many saudis accuse goverment of being hypocratic against palastinian

yeh palastinian r MY brothers n sisters

u go to any one of them and ask him-her to narrate his-her story

if the killing and evacuating of millions did not evoke u so it is a problem in ur morals not a problem of mine

did it touched u to say(revange)

    im telling the reality

do not blame the revolutinary but blame the goverments who force them to do so

  • After three generations is time to move on. The Palestinians are fully integrated in Jordan. Why aren't they integrating in Syria and Lebanon? People have been force out of their lands for as long as human began wandering. At some point they have to accept their new home as their permanent home.

Unless, of course, they are Jews and waited for two millennia to return to promised land. The waiting comes with a lot of suffering and the land may have been promised to others in the meantime.
