How much of what makes an attractive investment is a result of the company itself and how much is the economic growth of the country in which it operates? Charles Lannon, Toron Director Global Equities, discusses Luxottica, a good-value stock in a fast growth company from a slow growth economy, to illustrate.

  • @Joachim010 Sorry for a lengthy story but it`s necessary to show what Luxottica is doing to employees in stores like Lenscrafters, Pearle Vision, etc. There are many stories like this one but people tend to not believe such things cause they think it`s not possible and they shouldn`t be happening in a company like this one. Luxottica has too many veils that need to be uncovered by public media so whenever i have a chance to talk against it, i do cause they are not "for the people" company.

  • @Joachim010 The regional manager Sherry Merriman started the whole thing so everyting that he said to back it up was not considered just thrown in the garbage. All his phone calls, alibi`s, proof of innocence and all was shredded.

How do i know? Well I am one of the managers who was there and it wasn`t a pretty sight. I refused to be a witness to his termination so i was the next on their shit list. I left the company not too long after he was terminated cause i`ve had it enough. Peace

  • @Joachim010 2 years ago an innocent assistant sore manager got fired for sexual harassment. The accuser was a 21y.o. mexican female with a flirty background to start with. The company offered her his position and next thing you know, all of a sudden he gets fired and gets replaced by her. She was inexperienced and taught by him everything she knew. He had more than enough proof to back up his case but no one from human resources was responding to him cause everything landed on regionals desk.

  • @Joachim010 It`s ok for you. But 12(6 as a manager) years in a company was a waste of my life for someone who doesn`t respect you as a honest hardworking person. There was a lot of my coworkers from the same region that got fired for the things that did not make any sense and no connection to anything and accusations with made up reasons. If Luxottica doesnt` like your looks, talk, personality then she will terminate you.Regional mngrs. Dorie Haste and Sherry Merriman were haters from hell.

  • As a former employee/ sales rep of Luxottica , I have to say I completely disagree with your bitter judgement.

Luxottica always treated me and my collegues with respect.

  • The world will be better off without a company like Luxottica. It is a company that works against the customer and their employees. Hard to believe but it`s true. Instead off standing up and protecting their employees they stand on the side of the accuser and the judge to destroy lives and under appreciate the value of the employee.Benefits are non sufficient enough and don`t reflect the company`s made up profile. Shortly said it is the company that doesn`t walk the talk that they speak.
