In the early 1990s, I used to run a band called Heartland Reggae and very popular they were too! We got to share stages with some of reggae music's all time greats, including Burning Spear, Misty in Roots and Desmond Dekker etc. During our time together we performed on a couple of TV shows and here, extracted from some very old and worn out video tapes, are the aforementioned performances. The band members were myself, Charlie Stubbings on vocals and guitar, Dave (Wooky) Vaughan on drums and vocals, Steve Butcher on Keys and vocals, Andy Pike on keys, Danny Reeday on bass, Julian Hutson-Saxby on lead guitar, Mike Nicholls on trumpet, Dave (Sler) Roberts on sax with Maggie Reeday and Joy Russell on backing vocals. The band was together for about five years and is still fondly remembered by many. Forget your troubles and dance.
