@blondemo184 It depends on how ur kicking field goals. Off the ground ur plant foot heel should be at the back of the ball or a little farther foward. Mark off ur steps in practice so u get a consistent stepping pattern and focus more on technique. Theres no need to kick a ball until ur form is down. It takes a lot of practice but if you stay patient you will get it down. Hope this helps
cool. im a punter on my freshman football team. but i want to be a place kicker. ive looked up some things and i think the only thing or one of them im not doing right is putting my plant foot ahead of the ball. if i think to much i mess up my step count and lose my accuracy. it just feels un natural to go past the football befor u kick it to me. i here you are sopossed to kick the ball before the half mark of your swing. any ideas on how to train it so it seems ok?
