@kaijusaurusrex no, if you watch at :22 to :24 you can see the mechanical inards of the mechanical owl. it is shown in a scene in the new one, perseus picks it up asking what it is and is told to leave it behind, you can see that scene, its in the side bar Bubo was awsome too. =)

This is why the original is a million times better than the cgi-filled mess of a remake. In the original, you get to know these characters and care about them as the story progresses. The remake looses to this film in pretty much every regard.
When "Cratos" found Bubo in the remake and tossed it aside, I basically said "oh f*ck you" to his lame ass and that that God of War wanabe of a movie and threw it away.
