The king sent the Arab Legion to quell the uprising and almost 30,000 Palestinians lost their lives, 3/4 were unarmed civilians, man woman and child. Meanwhile, Hamas deliberately uses Palestinian population as human shields, so it's next to a MIRACLE that Palestinian deaths aren't 10X what they are now.

If anyone is interested in a more realistic assessment of the Israeli occupation and destruction of Palestine, they should compare the number of Israelis killed vs. Palestinians killed over the last half decade.
