Broadcast to the American people from the Oval Office. Reagan mentions two triumphs from his presidency: the economic recovery and the recovery of American morale. He discusses America's changing relations with the Soviet Union and shares his regret for the deficit that deepened during his time in office. He concludes by addressing America's sense of patriotism and refers to the nation as "a shining city on a hill."

It's amazing to me watching all you Republicans clamor over Reagan for the same exact reasons people clamor over President Obama. Republicans LOVE to talk about how liberals worship President Obama, but you'll never see more of a love fest then you do when you watch Republicans talk about their GOD Ronald Reagan .PS Reagan was originally a Democrat who was a originally an actor... he was dooping you all in the role of LIFETIME!! Dude... why don't you read your last sentence and then re-evaluate who is the one "full of hate". The hateful ones are you and Republicans like you who choose to buy into all the negativity about President Obama. My biggest qualm with President Obama is that I feel he's moved to far to the right and tried too hard to compromise with all you hateful Republicans. You can see why the people who didn't read between the lines and that blindly supported President Reagan loved him so much. He definitely had a very comforting way about himself. All the Republicans that say they miss the 80's so much avoid the fact that Reagan put everything on credit and simply pushed the problem down the road for future administrations to worry about. When they complain about President Obama just remember he's simply fixing everything Reagan kicked down the road.
