This Is Our West Virginia

Fabulous state.  I'm from England and have been visiting extended family since 2002

I first visted (from Newcastle,England) in 2002 to see my wifes family in Winfield ,near Charleston. The State is beautiful, miles of forested mountains, rivers and startling sites. Try the whitewater rafting, hunting etc and you must try Hillbilly Hotdogs'near Huntington. My son and I tripped from there to North carolina, Smith Mountain lake, the Blue ridge parkway and around Fraziers bottom. You can also still witness the strong confederacy...wow and moonshine! I drove from Chicago to the East coast and we had 2 go down 64 threw West Virgina and all I could say around every corner was Wow This place is Beautiful it's on big mountain that never ends.

Ahh. Native West "By God" Virginian here as well. Gorgeous. The Mrs and I are both from WV. I hope we are protecting our resources. IE...MTR...!!!!! Protect our precious mountains!

I bawled like a baby watching this. My husband is military, so we move around a lot. Nothing can compare to the beauty of West Virginia, and no one can compare to the people of West Virginia. I am a West By God Virginian!!! No matter where life takes me, those mountains will always be home!!!

Fabulous video! My husband, children, and I live in southern WV. I'm proud to call it home and will never be satisfied anywhere else.
