Swampy Ooze (Original Blues with Slide Guitar)

This is played on a Gibson Hound Dog 60R.

I decided to make this video since I saw a bunch of other cool slide videos on here. It's in G which is pretty easy to play slide in standard tuning. This is one of my few songs for this band that translates well to solo acoustic guitar. Most of them are designed for the trio and loud amps.

way down in the swampy ooze
Where there's a hot voodoo woman,
with cures for all kinds of blues
You can't win with that woman,
but it's so much fun to lose

I know a little cabin,
down by the riverside
And there's a sweet country woman,
who knows how to satisfy
She calls me to come down and see her,
when she's got a little fish to fry

I'm goin' down by the seaside,
down by the ocean blue
Where there's a cute little mermaid,
singin' a song so true
I hear her callin' and I come runnin,
I know just what i've got to do

Very nice, I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of slide guitar. There's just something about it that's got the slither of a snake but the precision of a scalpel. Between that a classical nylon guitar man, you can't find anything better.
