Today was a roadbike day! :D Went for a fast one and this section was near the end of an hours riding. I join the A127 but not the traffic queue! After the lights (and the bumps) the road drops slightly and with a kind wind assisting I was able to hold 28 mph.

I used to ride an MTB with 26x1 slicks, which was pretty quick but since Feb 2010 I've been commuting on a road spec hybrid, which in the right conditions is surprisingly quick but also a forgiving and easy ride. Both of these bikes are fitted with pannier racks and will usually carry up to 10kg but have carried more. The roadbike is a carbon frame and always feels great whenever I take it out! :)

I believe that's what happened. When it does I always try to acknowledge it with a thumbs-up or a wave.

  • What do you normally ride if not a roadbike?

  • Check out the nice guy driving the Jag at 0.42...... it looks like he saw you coming and moved over to the left so you could get by. :)
