The #15 ranked Saints upset the #4 ranked William Penn Statesmen at ATI Field on October 8.
The Saints fell behind 27-0 midway through the second quarter and did not have a single first down on their first four possessions. William Penn scored touchdowns on each of its first four possessions and the Statesmen appeared to have the game completely in control. The Saints offense sprung to life late in the 2nd quarter with an 84 yard drive that was finished off with a 31-yard scoring play by Elliot Allen.
The Saints offense continued to gain momentum, adding two more touchdowns in the 3rd quarter and one in the 4th, and their defense didn't allow another touchdown. The game came down to the wire when the Saints scored with 13 seconds remaining in the game to pull within 1, and then completed a 2-point conversion to take the lead.
The final score was 36-35 USF.
