I have been a Manilow fan for as long as I can remember. This video is terrible, but if you had the chance to see him perform it live it was amazing. He put a lot more emotion into it live, and there were smoke machines blowing and deep purple and red lighting effects... I always thought that if he had released a video of his live performance this song would have done a lot better commercially

I was all set to mock this because I'm not a fan of Manilow, but he did a good job with this song. I prefer Meatloaf's more intense version of it, but this is just a great song and Manilow did well with it. 2 different styles and both very good versions of the song.

The dross that passes for musicians these days could learn a thing or two from real talent like Meatloaf and Manilow.
