Yup, Pine, but its feckin quick lol, biggest I've put in the debarquer was bout 20 inchs accross..

@187Zannii i've done red oak logs on here that wouldnt fit through that blue metal detector, i think its 3 and a 1/2 foot or 4 across

We run the Nicholson A8 Highspeed Debarker, and been running it since I ca remember, I been at Chaleur Sawmills for 7 years, ours is a bit faster then what is shown here though, Iam not kidding, we can run about 50-60 logs per minute.. We have 2, we also have the nicholson A5. They can handle logs up to I think 24". You can find Nicholson A8

lol thas a lame saw mill by the time this mill gets one log de-barked, we get 20, haha

This now my machine that I run for 10 hours a day and have been for 2 years and it still amazes me

kickers take too long just roll out the debarked log with the next with the stop and loads much faster. although the the headsaws look full by the logs chillin in the log trouth. 7:55 haha grab a cant hook!
I run a morbark 642 of this style now, I used to run a morbark 640 stationary head now, and i like the stationary one better, it handles the twisted up ones so much better.

We have fitted the staionary heads with this style with great results.
