The shallow depth of field gives a very dreamy feel, and it certainly adds when the parrot yawns. :)

Shot on Canon 7D at F1.4 (50mm) in Manual Mode.
Total File Size 126mb @ 24fps full HD.

  • @aboyandastang Correct, and I was merely stating that the lenses I listed there were NON L.

  • @4Alpha7Kilo That comment is a year old. And there are many non l lens that go 2.8 or larger (i.e. 1.2)

  • @subconcioussongsvid What lens do you have? If it's an 18-55mm Kit lens, then No. It's a F3.5-5.6, also same goes for the standard 75-300mm, as well as the 18/28-135mm F3.5-5.6 (THese are NON L glass)

  • With my lens is it possible that my lowest aperture could be 2.8? I wish I knew...

  • @aboyandastang Thank you for your great advice. If I can figure out how to change the aperture I will have a perfect day tomorrow!!! (do you know a tutorial that explains aperture changing??

  • @subconcioussongsvid

Hi! Put the 7d into "M" or manual mode then set the aperture to f1.4.
