I really enjoyed this movie WHIP IT: Drew Barrymore & Cast really put on the roller blades in this Sports flick. Wow! Brought on a warm glare feeling of the legendary Sport ROLLER DERBY & the brave men and women that "lived & breath" that aggressive bold Sport during the 40's-70's it's Classic hay day period and the Iconic Teams of that time eras are just priceless/timeless and will live in my Heart forever! Nice to see that the Roller Derby games continue on.

I reeeeeally can't understand what I dislike about this movie.
I'll watch it, yes, and I've read the book, but the movie adaptation was terrible.
Kudos on some scenes to Drew Barrymore for her first time directing but I found Ellen Page to be weaker then she usaully is in her leading roles and the only one worth putting laughter into was Razor.
I still don't know why I like it.
I love the smashing and soundtrack...I..Just don't know.

Judging by the trailer and the opening weekend box office (4.9 million) I don't think this is a great movie. I'll rent it later to see if I'm wrong.
I am totally NOT into dramadies/Girl power films.
No intention to seeing this movie ever.

I thought Whip It was a great movie. Some of shots in this movie were the best I have seen all year. A lot of people who have seen it more then once are picking up on all the deeper hidden details of this movie. I believe it has just gone over your head a little.

If you're a big Ellen Page fan then you'd probably get more out of it than I did... She's fun to watch in the derby stuff, and the teen/domestic stuff would be more engaging if you like Page. It's certainly not the kind of movie that MUST be seen on a big screen, 'tho - compared to zombies, of course! ;)
