@siasti theres footageof him sparring royler shot in this dojo on choke,maybe this exact part isnt there,its a long time since I saw it.i know its not prep for pride because i had an hour of tape on rickson .royler and his students sparring that this was taken from in 1996 and pride began in late 1997 so it must have been prep for japan vale tudo either 94 or 95.Chris saunders ,ricksons first american black belt was there too.

rickson gracie was above everyone else because he trained with rolles carlos gracie carlson gracie helio gracie its like he got a black belt from all of them plus brazilian national team wrestling every bjj discipline carlson gracie said that this guy was tapping all of his black belts with ease

@jonshultz The old man Helio said it was because growing up and training, Rickson was the son who asked the most questions on technique.

Well first off he's much bigger and on a technical level, just a notch above Royler. Royler is also fairly young in this taping from my knowledge.
