Tunisians are marking the first anniversary of the country's revolution.

It was January 14 last year when Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali fled the country. But many people are angry that their lives have become worse.

Nazanine Moshiri reports from Tunis.

  • @skinnywhop87 but now they cant blame others for their misfortunes if things went wrong

and it will be easier to bring the al nahda down than ben ali

  • The revolution isn't over. Tunisia has Al Nahda in office, they just traded one tyrant for others.

They only have 2 secular parties with any leverage. Tunisians threw their country into the dark ages... Such a shame, for a country with such a great and strong history. Tunisia, the land that had women's rights even before the western world, is now wrapping their women in shackles AKA veils

Free Tunisia from the Islamist dictators. May Al Nahda meet the same end as Zine Ben Ali

  • solidarity from Iran to brave people of Tunis, down with Khamenei dictatorship.

  • !ثورة ، ثورة حتى النصر !

Victory to the brave people of Tunis and Tahrir !

Victory to all the honorable martyrs who will never be forgotten, long live all who continue the struggle for justice and freedom around the world against all forms of tyranny, exploitation, and oppression...

The struggle carries on... And in the words of martyr and comrade Che, "hasta la victoria siempre" Until victory!...

  • People will not be patient when their hopes and dreams are crushed under the weight of establishment. Everyone from Tunisia to Alabama deserves freedom and liberty.

  • @mks989 - انت ليبي يا مكس؟ بس ليش تكتب لتونسى بالإنكليزي؟

  • Bonne chance Tunisia

  • economic conditions wont get better instantly, it will take time

  • Bourgeois democracy is a farce. It will not solve their economic problems. They will find out soon enough.
