Well thanks for stating the obvious but who cares. People watch wrestling for the same reason they play video games and watch movies. It fake and no one is getting killed and we find it entertaining. So what, if things come off goofy in a wrestling and they do more talking then they do real wrestling. who cares if it a soap oprea. It all in good fun and for me I find entertaining. If you really want a good take on how fans feel about it watch the episode in south park on the subject. called WTF

@bigkev625 Okay then so fuck the hall of fame and some of the few guys that were actually amateur wrestlers performing in a ring.I have seen matches outside raw where it's just amateur like wrestling in the indies like the 50s and it wasn't telling a story they just wrestled. I'm even starting to think boxing is fake, not many punches til the end to have 12 rounds only then would the guy take a fall or come to a dumb decision.

The better days of WWF are long gone its now the age of "Douchedom".

@bigkev625 When it comes down to it the whole presentation it all comes down to the wrestling. Nowadays esp. on raw that ring won't make a difference on what the show is about because no one gives a damn about the wrestling it's just the storylines. Bruno Sammartino refuses to be in the HOF because of the outrageous storylines (wat im talkin bout). In the ring you can still get busted knees, concussions, stingers, dislocated shoulder, torn ligaments, or get paralyzed just like any contact SPORT.

You're telling me when the 4 horsemen broke Dusty's arm it wasn't a soap opera then? gimme a break. And as a wrestler your taught to tell a story in the ring, even in the 30's! @bigkev625 Pro wrestling IS a sport I think you're talking about sports entertainment. Back in the embryotic stages of the WWF and other regional promotions the ring had two athletes WRESTLING. The storyline stuff just came later in which dubbed it "sports entertainment". Nowadays you have pyrotechnics, animals and other sorts of things that add to the storylines. The fact that athletic commissions acknowledge them proves it.
