  • I thought this ep would have been more about the economic troubles S.Africa's youth face even after the end of apartheid. All this episode has shown is a bunch of girls preparing for prom. Very disappointing and the title and description is very misleading.

Wish all the people in the documentary the very best though.

  • what is the music name at 00:19 ? someone know ? thanks nice music

  • @damania Well, it's about the humanity of the event, it's a life changing event for these people.

  • I hope one day we will all wake up and understand this world can be great for everyone. Education should be free and our children everywhere should be our top priority for they are the future and our legacy. This greed and manipulation of countries into senseless wars for money and power makes no sense. No one needs to live in poverty and dreams should be an everyday reality. I am optimistic that we can still have this type planet. Venusproject check it out pass it on. Best to these ladies.

  • Great segment! I wish both young ladies well.

  • @NeoFalcon69 u can fancy without all the expense burden. there should be a rental business that opens.

  • Two great coming of age stories; back-grounded by a revealing aspect of Capetown culture - the Matric Ball.

  • I have always loved the South African accent, especially when they speak in English! You can really tell by the way in which they speak which European language has influenced them. As soon as I saw the young girl of Indian decent, I was expecting a heavy Indo- accent. This was pleasantly surprising, informative, and true to the times we live in.

  • i love their accents........do most south africans sound like this? or is this accent only representative of the lower socio-economic background?

  • @damania

Well giving that sense of being something they wish to be, could be something they can aspire to in the future. I came from a poor background and aspired to live my dream when I lived it though it was only one night. Now, looking back and seeing what I have achieved, I'm pleased to say that dream got me where I am. Now I'm not dreaming no more.
