I don't think this guy would of believed me if I went back in time to this exact moment, and told him he would qualify for the 2010 Wimbledon, and become more memorable than some champions of years past without even making it out of the 2nd round. Because neither one of these guys is getting past the next guy.

wasn't it manchester?

mahut plays so much better on grass i was watching him the other day, live in a challenger tour event in didsbury.
-
i mean he almost beat Roddick day before ...
if he has points from Queens ,he did not have to qualify ..
well Mahut and grass ...so bad ,the courts slower and slower..
wanna see this year

whats so sad is mahut lost today against a technially far inferior player in tursonov because the grass is so slow you cant win with wonderful volleys.
in a world with smaller rackets balls and quicker courts mahut would be top 8 and wonderful to watch

It's also unusual for a player with his height NOT to play a serve-and-volley game, look at Karlovic, Rusedski, Phillopousis and those other 'goliaths'! Roger will still kick his behind though...
why wimbledon discriminates so much? look that court, he is playing wimbledon qualifying and the courts aren´t even separeted with anything!!! and then you have the center court, so modern an beatifull. Happens the same with the dressing rooms. I think that there is clearly a luck of priorities.
Courts in national tournaments for juniors are better than that one. That court its ok by training, buy not to play the qualy of the most ancient and important tournament in the world.

C'est la vie ... come on, these players could play on a sand beach and still play great tennis.
Mahut is a great talent and I wish him Bonne Chance!
