I've heard Mindru katz on it , not quiet fast as kapell , but the recording sound quality is better . And it's as great as kapell for me ^^ .

I once had the album (somebody stole it) and his playing never left me. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Alicia de Larocha is excellent, too. Both are exemplary players.

His tempi make the whole thing seem a Bugs Bunny episode.  Too campy for me. Listen to Alicia de Larrocha's recording.

Right, but it's fun stuff. I didn't even know this lp existed. The Violin Concerto is better, but a critic once called it "circus music" for some reason.

The work and especially this performance are very passionate ... but ... that whenever I hear Ormandy is a work that takes minutes or bars ...? The slow movement is a real beauty and almost maimed him ...! what a shame ...! but it is still an electrifying performance ...!
