Hahns Macaw playing happily on girls lap

We've made some amazing progress with the Hahns today. I think they're finally learning that they don't belong on our shoulders.

Clyde stuck to his new T-perch, but Bonnie was more than happy to sit and play on Kelsey's lap for over an hour.

Well he loves my daughter that much anyway ;) whe she was asking him to give her the chain, she'd only been training that for about 10 minutes previous to me filming her and Bonnie, so she was REALLY pleased that he did it :)

Bonnie is a lot friendlier than Clyde, but I think Clyde is just more scared/nervous and not really as mean as he seems.

That's great! They haven't been with you very long, and Bonnie has adapted really well. I'm sure Clyde will follow along in no time. So playful... I think you can probably have a lot of fun with these birds.

Yeah, we've only had them with us for about 3 and a half weeks, but I bought a ton of parrot books and got a parrot training/taming dvd from a friend and started trying to tame and train yesterday.

The progress so far has just been amazingly fast. I won't sit and expect everything to work this quickly, but even the stuff that has worked so far has been brilliant for us :D

If your worried about the mess, then toilet train them, both my eclectus are, it is not that difficult
