  • NIce combat chassis! Nice to see a pre 1973 "unridged" 109 chassis, with the headlamps in the correct place.

  • @douro20 No, it;s the Rover 2286 Diesel, derived from the 2052cc diesel that was introduced in 1956. It was one of the first "High Speed" diesels available. Noted for having the "Riccardo Comet" pre-combustion chambers to aid cold starting and swirl for better combustion at operating temperatures.

  • That Engine sounds very good, not many early Diesel Model Series Land Rovers came to Australia in the 50's & 60's. All the best with your project!
