Will the Circle be Unbroken is one of the most popular Southern Gospel songs off all time.
The story about the song is asking the question of whether the circle of family be broken up after the mother has passed on. Often many families grown apart once both parents are long around and this song is trying to remind all us that as a family we should stick together even after our parents have departed.
The song was written and first recorded in 1932 by A. P. Carter, the Patriarch of the Carty Family (the original band was A. P. Along with his wife Sarah and cousin Maybelle).
As an added note, Maybelle had four daughters, one of whom was June Carter and June later on in life married Johnny Cash.
Part of our 2009 Rec-Room Recording series using only a laptop webcam. With proper recording equipment or hearing us live we would of course have a better quality sound.
As a group (GRAND RIVER COUNTRY Janice & Geoff Brown), we play in and around the Waterloo Region in Southern Ontario.
Our rates are very reasonable and we get bookings up to a year in advance. We average around 120 shows a year!
