sorry but America has there own problems and no money. We always help people and no one ever help America Example new orleans, california quake, hurricans ect. How about someone helps AMERICA NOPE CANT DO THAT SO America should not help anyone else. How about your own county take care of the people and we take care of our homeless with that money since the majority is vets that served

Did you know that ChildFund International, our US sister organisation, also supports US children? So you can sponsor children in the US if you wish. I think you would also be surprised by the amount of support and cooperation internationally that the US does get in times of need.

For example, when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans the NZ government gave $2m and offered the services of its Urban Search and Rescue Teams, a Disaster Victim Identification team and post disaster recovery personnel. On top of that New Zealanders donated to various appeals by the Red Cross and other aid organisations to support those affected by Katrina. NZ wasn't the only country to offer money or resources. So don't despair don't feel like you're alone, we're all in this together.

@blattt188 Thank you. There are still many ways to help even if you have very little. You can raise awareness. Learn everything you can about children living in poverty and talk to people about what you've learned, write a blog, offer to present at schools, rotary clubs...

@ausink483 Who cares? Well I do, I signed up to help a child in need. Let me ask you this..if you were in need would u want somebody to help you or would u rather nobody care..after all it wouldnt be their fault right? Keep that in mind next time you need somebody elses assistance
