I saw a made-for-TV movie that was based on a true story about a man who was falsely imprisoned for murdering three prostitutes. Shortly after the movie aired, I spoke to a lawyer whom I trust (yes, trustworthy lawyers do exist), and he said that he had sat in on the trial. "It was interesting." he said "Of course, the guy was guilty as sin. They found the bodies of the women in his apartment."

Well, they neglected to mention that in the true story.

Omg I do the same thing when I see movies "based on a true story".. I'm always amazed by little details as if it's exactly how it played out in real life. But then I google it, and the bubble gets burst big time..
